The Enterprise Data Strategy Lead joins the Digital Real World Data & Healthcare Intelligence organization to facilitate data strategy, manage requirements gathering, and author multi-year roadmaps for various business functions including R&D, Medical Affairs, and Commercial. This role involves transforming fragmented assets into decision-grade insights by conducting gap analyses and defining data standards to inform brand performance, market access, and launch readiness. The successful candidate will navigate complex matrixed environments to translate requirements into actionable strategies. Key technical competencies include familiarity with commercial and external data sources like IQVIA, TriNetX, and AlphaSense; knowledge of OHDSI OMOP models; and experience with cloud platforms such as Snowflake and AWS Sagemaker. Additionally, the role requires proficiency in SQL, Python, and AI-assisted coding to support analytics teams while addressing complex pharmaceutical data challenges across diverse therapeutic areas.
Author multi-year data roadmaps that transform fragmented assets into decision-grade insights across R&D, Medical Affairs, and Commercial functions.
Identify and prioritize data requirements for use cases like patient journey mapping, competitive intelligence, and product forecasting.
Evaluate commercial and real-world data sources including social listening, pharmacy data, EMR/EHR records, and claim datasets.
Conduct enterprise-wide gap analyses to assess current data capabilities against specific business requirements.
Define data standards that inform decisions regarding brand performance, market access, and regulatory submissions.
Coordinate with Digital and Procurement teams to manage investment governance and optimize data spending.
Translate complex business needs into actionable strategic priorities for technical analytics and engineering teams.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, data science, business administration, health informatics, epidemiology, life sciences, or related fields is required.
An advanced degree is preferred.
4+ years of pharmaceutical or biopharma industry experience is required.
2+ years of experience in data strategy, Go-to-Market data strategy, launch readiness, or RWD/RWE leadership is required.
Proven track record of delivering enterprise data strategies and conducting data needs assessments and gap analyses.
Ability to translate complex business requirements into data-driven insights and strategic investment decisions.
Strong understanding of commercial data ecosystems, market access analytics, and regulatory considerations for real-world evidence.
Familiarity with SQL, Python, AI/ML applications, and modern cloud data platforms like Snowflake or AWS Sagemaker.
