As an Engineering Technician 5 within the Concept and Feasibility team of the WETS Product Group, you will support the development of liquid-based process equipment for advanced semiconductor manufacturing. You will perform testing, check-out, and troubleshooting for electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, and specialized test equipment. Your daily responsibilities include conducting fault isolation to remedy malfunctions, inspecting components for surface defects, and measuring circuitry using precision instruments. You will collaborate with development engineers to build prototypes, models, and test stands to validate new designs. To succeed, you must utilize oscilloscopes, signal generators, and computer-based data systems while interpreting schematics and diagrams. The role requires expertise in electrical or mechanical engineering, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex electronics within a semiconductor manufacturing context.
Perform testing, check-out, and troubleshooting using schematics, diagrams, and defined plans.
Troubleshoot system-level and component-level problems in electrical and mechanical systems.
Inspect materials and components for surface defects and measure circuitry using precision instruments.
Conduct operational tests and fault isolation to determine methods to remedy malfunctions.
Use diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus.
Collaborate with development engineers to create, design, and troubleshoot prototypes and models.
Construct test stands and apparatus to validate new designs and processes.
What we're looking for
6+ years of related experience.
Experience with installation, maintenance, repair, testing, or troubleshooting of equipment or electronics.
Ability to perform fault isolation and troubleshoot system and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems.
Proficiency using electronic test equipment, precision measuring instruments, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency in computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.
Ability to work a shift schedule.
Associate degree, Technical Certificate, Diploma or higher in a technical field (preferred); experience in engineering, metrology, lab operations, or semiconductor fields (preferred).
