Engineering Product Manager (Hybrid) joins the Splunk Observability team to drive the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of key Splunk AppDynamics capabilities. This role involves collaborating with engineering, design, sales, and marketing teams to improve application performance, accelerate troubleshooting, and strengthen digital resilience for enterprise customers. The successful candidate will define product visions and success metrics across areas including infrastructure, digital experience, business analytics, and AI-powered observability. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating customer insights into prioritized requirements and managing products from discovery through launch. Required expertise includes Kubernetes, microservices, public-cloud platforms, enterprise Java/.NET, SAP, databases, and hybrid application architectures. The role addresses complex problems in full-stack observability, AIOps, OpenTelemetry, and generative AI for LLM applications. You will work to integrate experiences across the Splunk platform and related Cisco technologies to solve critical performance and monitoring challenges.
Own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of key Splunk AppDynamics capabilities.
Define product vision and success metrics for performance, infrastructure, and AI-powered observability features.
Translate customer insights and market opportunities into prioritized product requirements.
Partner with engineering and design teams to deliver scalable, secure, and intuitive products from discovery to launch.
Advance integrated experiences across the Splunk platform and related Cisco technologies.
Support product positioning, field enablement, and strategic customer briefings.
Monitor competitive trends in AIOps, OpenTelemetry, and generative AI technologies.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
7+ years of product management experience delivering technical infrastructure, cloud services, or enterprise SaaS solutions.
3+ years of end-to-end experience shipping substantial features or products from concept to launch.
Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, public-cloud platforms, enterprise Java/.NET, SAP, databases, and hybrid application architectures.
Experience with enterprise applications, distributed systems, hybrid-cloud environments, and modern software development and operations practices.
Experience with APM, infrastructure monitoring, digital experience monitoring, log analytics, distributed tracing, OpenTelemetry, AIOps, or application security (preferred).
Experience building AI/ML-powered analytics, anomaly detection, root-cause analysis, or monitoring capabilities for generative-AI and LLM applications (preferred).
Experience with enterprise pricing, packaging, licensing, product launches, or global go-to-market organizations (preferred).
