Engineering Applications Administrator

What you'll do

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain engineering tools like Cameo, Mathcad, and Ansys Fluent.
• Administer licensing systems including RLM, FlexNet, and National Instruments Volume License Manager.
• Monitor application health and develop backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Triage and resolve user incidents while developing documentation and quick reference guides.
• Manage publishing workflows and templates in Arbortext and Anark Publisher.
• Implement role-based access control and remediate security vulnerabilities using tools like Tenable.
• Automate administration processes through scripting and process improvements.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience administering engineering tools including MBSE/modeling tools, technical publishing tools, engineering analysis tools, and embedded/FPGA/test tools.
• Hands-on experience with license management tools such as RLM, FlexNet/FlexLM, ALM, and National Instruments Volume License Manager.
• Strong troubleshooting skills on Windows Server, Windows 11, and Linux (RHEL 8).
• Familiarity with networking concepts including ports, firewalls, DNS, and certificates for client/server applications.
• Experience working within formal change management and incident management processes like ITIL.
• Experience in engineering, defense, aerospace, or manufacturing environments (preferred).
• Security clearance.
