Engineer, Trend Brain Team (Backend/GenAI)

What you'll do

• Integrate new sources of trend signal into an automated multi-agent trend-sensing ecosystem.
• Implement, deploy, scale, and maintain agentic workflows in partnership with data scientists.
• Develop robust and scalable software components that balance speed of delivery with system robustness.
• Actively review code to ensure software quality and functional accuracy across the team.
• Handle operational issues with little or no oversight.
• Provide traditional and agentic capabilities to merchants, trend researchers, and designers.
• Ensure the trend research ecosystem produces consistent, actionable, and transparent results.
• Maintain technical knowledge of the rapidly evolving GenAI ecosystem.

What we're looking for

• A 4-year degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Candidates must have 1+ years of software development experience.
• Candidates must demonstrate experience with and a sustained interest in the evolving GenAI ecosystem.
• Proficiency in at least one computer language is required.
• Proficiency in Python and emerging GenAI Python frameworks is preferred.
• Candidates must demonstrate strong computer science fundamentals.
• Knowledge of different persistence and indexing strategies to support efficient, reliable data retrieval is required.
• Understanding of distributed programming concepts and their application to a domain is required.
