The Engineer Lead Sr. joins the Enterprise Tech and Platforms team to lead end-to-end application system development and maintenance on large, complex enterprise-wide technology platforms. This role involves managing requirements gathering with customers, overseeing technical design and code reviews, and defining application scope while coordinating change requests and monitoring processes. The position focuses on ensuring scalability and reliability for critical business systems by anticipating technological shifts and determining long-term infrastructure trajectories. Candidates should possess experience in multi-dimensional platforms and various architectures including monolithic, layered, service-oriented, and microservices. Technical requirements include proficiency with Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Go; familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases; and knowledge of tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and CI/CD pipelines. The role specifically addresses technical challenges within the healthcare industry to ensure robust data information planning and system reliability.
Lead end-to-end application system development and maintenance for large complex enterprise platforms.
Gather business requirements from customers and lead meetings to review technical designs.
Define application scope, objectives, and oversee the creation of functional specifications.
Perform technical design reviews and code reviews to ensure quality standards.
Manage the change request process and coordinate with cross-functional teams for implementation.
Develop multi-year technology strategies and identify long-term infrastructure trajectories.
Coordinate on-call support and own the system monitoring processes.
Drive internal consensus on technology direction and advocate for modern architectural standards.
What we're looking for
A BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field of study is required.
A minimum of 9 years of experience with multi-dimensional platforms and business and technical applications is required.
Experience mentoring others, driving teams to results, leading large projects, and providing troubleshooting support is preferred.
Multi-database and/or multi-language experience is preferred.
Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
Experience with monolithic, layered, service-oriented, and microservices architectures is required.
Knowledge of event-driven architecture, API-first design, distributed systems, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, or infrastructure automation is preferred.
Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, AWS SNS/SQS), relational databases, NoSQL databases, CI/CD pipelines, and various programming languages is preferred.
