Technician

What you'll do

• Process, manage, and handle energetic materials and electromechanical systems while following strict safety protocols.
• Perform fabrication, assembly, and modification of rocket motors using explosives and chemicals.
• Operate production equipment including mixers, presses, lathes, hoists, forklifts, and paint booths.
• Use precision instruments such as torque wrenches, leak detectors, and resistance meters for testing and troubleshooting.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to perform routine testing and prototype building.
• Maintain work areas in compliance with FOD, ESD, and 5S standards.
• Provide documentation and traceability for hardware buy-offs and functional-area audits.
• Identify manufacturing non-conformances and report safety incidents or equipment defects immediately.

What we're looking for

• High School Diploma is required for both Technician 2 and Technician 3 roles.
• Technicians must have hands-on manufacturing experience rather than automation experience.
• Candidates must possess good reading and math skills.
• Exposure to chemistry or vocational training in fields like welding, electrical, or mechanical work is required.
• Ability to be certified for respirator use and trained in forklift and hoist operation is required.
• Blueprint reading fundamentals are required or the aptitude to learn them.
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, mechanics, or the defense industry (preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Lean Manufacturing/5S principles (preferred).
