What you'll do

Design, build, and qualify electro-mechanical optical test stations for integration into manufacturing lines.
Develop end-to-end test architectures to simulate operational environments like thermal cycling and vacuum profiles.
Define and implement design validation test plans for optical and opto-mechanical assemblies.
Perform optical metrology including wavefront error, boresight alignment, and radiometric calibration.
Diagnose hardware failures at the PCBA level, such as solder joint issues and signal degradation.
Lead root cause analysis for opto-mechanical and electrical failures identified during stress testing.
Write Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW scripts to automate data acquisition and instrument communication.
Develop measurement processes for volume manufacturing to ensure repeatability and first-pass yield targets.

What we're looking for

Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee for export control compliance.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or an equivalent field.
4+ years of industry experience in electro-optical or opto-mechanical systems development across full product life cycles.
Experience with lasers, detectors, modulators, optical fiber, and related devices.
Experience with optical metrology for component and system test and qualification.
Experience running thermal cycling (TC) and/or thermal vacuum (TVAC) test profiles for high-precision systems.
Experience with end-to-end system-level testing in a manufacturing or production environment.
Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW for automated testing and data analysis.
