Electrical Test Engineer As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will join the team to ensure systems meet stringent standards through rigorous testing across the manufacturing value stream. You will manage production test flows, perform hands-on troubleshooting for complex infrared systems, and develop work instructions for technicians. Your daily responsibilities include developing software for test automation, data analytics, and report generation while performing root cause analysis on non-conforming hardware, software, and firmware. To succeed, you must utilize MATLAB, Python, and other programming languages to process data and manage various communication protocols like USB, Ethernet, RS232, and CAN. You will also maintain and calibrate test equipment such as power supplies, thermal chambers, and spectrum analyzers. This role focuses on the integration of electrical, opto-mechanical, and software systems to solve complex technical challenges in high-performance hardware production.

What you'll do

Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrared systems issues identified during the production testing process.
Maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream from system level checkouts to component validation.
Develop software for test automation, data analytics, and automated report generation.
Determine root causes of product failures and recommend corrective actions to engineering teams.
Create clear work instructions and train technicians on equipment usage within the MES.
Analyze test data and provide detailed reports to identify defects and areas for improvement.
Optimize test strategies to increase efficiency and reduce testing time without compromising quality.
Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure precision and reliability during production.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
3+ years of relevant industry experience with an emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment.
Experience with data acquisition and processing using MATLAB, Python, and other programming languages.
Experience with test automation and report generation.
Strong root cause analysis skills for non-conforming hardware, software, and firmware.
Experience working on projects involving the integration of electrical, opto-mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
