Laser Test Engineer

What you'll do

• Maintain ownership of production test flows and provide hands-on troubleshooting for complex infrared systems.
• Develop and maintain software for test automation, data analytics, and report generation.
• Determine root causes of product failures and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Generate test work instructions and train technicians on equipment use within the manufacturing value stream.
• Analyze test data and document results to identify defects and areas for process improvement.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure precision and reliability during system checkouts.
• Provide feedback to design engineers for product enhancements based on test outcomes and early-stage designs.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment.
• Experience with data acquisition and processing using MATLAB, Python, and other programming languages.
• Experience with test automation and report generation.
• Strong root cause analysis skills for non-conforming hardware, software, and firmware.
• Experience working on projects involving the integration of electrical, opto-mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
