What you'll do

Design the payload electrical architecture for power delivery, data, and control wiring from the aircraft bus.
Design firing circuits and payload control electronics including arming/safing logic and continuity test interfaces.
Define and implement the electrical interface for mission and vehicle management systems to control payload signals.
Design harness routing through articulated deployment mechanisms with connector mate/de-mate logic and continuity assurance.
Design ground support equipment including bench simulators, continuity test sets, and arming/safing control stations.
Perform EMC analysis for firing-circuit-class signals to identify and mitigate HERO/HERP/HERF risks.
Support lab verification of the payload electrical chain through bench testing and simulated bus integration.
Support on-aircraft integration and ground firing verification at range-cleared facilities.

What we're looking for

3–6 years of experience in aerospace or defense electrical engineering with payload or weapons electrical systems experience.
Experience in firing circuit design, including EED circuits, arming/safing logic, and safety analysis.
Experience in payload bus architecture for power, data, and control from aircraft bus to payload.
Experience in aerospace harness design, specifically for wiring through dynamic or articulated environments.
Experience in ground support equipment (GSE) design for payload integration support.
Experience in EMC analysis for safety-critical circuits with HERO/HERP/HERF awareness.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Experience with MIL-STD-1760, rotorcraft/VTOL platforms, or hybrid-electric high-voltage airframe EMC (preferred).
