ECAD PCB Tools Developer

What you'll do

• Develop tools for PCB electrical design, physical layout, and SI capabilities.
• Assess requirements from the design community to build innovative software solutions.
• Improve internal tools and processes for system designers throughout the company.
• Deliver EDA and ECAD solutions specifically for Cadence System Capture and SPB Allegro Layout.
• Implement system design and hierarchical sub-design features.
• Automate tasks within Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Manage and interact with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Write and maintain production code using Python.

What we're looking for

• BS in CS, CE, EE, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of industry experience.
• 3+ years of experience with CAD/PCB tools.
• Proven history of delivering EDA/ECAD around Cadence System Capture and SPB Allegro Layout.
• Experience with system design and hierarchical sub-design.
• Familiarity with automation within common operating systems like Windows and Linux.
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Experience in the Cadence System Capture TCL API (preferred).
• Background with Cadence SKILL or other CAD-level programming experience (preferred).
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Git, CI, and Perforce (preferred).
• Knowledge or experience with PLM systems (preferred).
• Knowledge of modern web technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, and NodeJS (preferred).
