The role addresses the challenge of creating predictive and AI-informed research capabilities within pharmaceutical R&D environments to improve downstream integration and analysis.

What you'll do

  • Translate scientific research needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements for IT and engineering teams.
  • Map data workflows to identify friction points and escalate risks or open questions to product leads.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to support data collection, testing, validation, and continuous improvement of data products.
  • Maintain field-level metadata, business glossaries, and documentation to support FAIR-aligned data practices.
  • Align identifiers, terminology, and definitions across multiple data sources to improve downstream integration and analytics.
  • Represent researcher context in product discussions to ensure delivered capabilities meet specific scientific needs.
  • Communicate with both scientific and technical audiences to clarify expectations and summarize decisions or risks.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant life sciences, informatics, data, or technical discipline; advanced degree is preferred.
  • Practical experience or strong academic grounding in early life sciences domains such as Biologics, Sequencing, Protein Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT, informatics, data analysis, business analysis, or a scientific data-focused role (graduate research or internship may be considered).
  • Familiarity with Research workflows in pharmaceutical or biotech settings.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills to organize information, identify patterns, and document issues.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to both scientific and technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with data product development, data modeling, data governance, analytics, or modern research data platforms.
  • IIBA Certification or similar Business Analysis Certification (preferred).
