What you'll do

Lead, manage, and mentor a team of software engineers to foster career growth and inclusion.
Set the technical vision, strategy, roadmap, and measurable goals for a product engineering area.
Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to define requirements and evaluate tradeoffs.
Design and scale critical product components including backend services, distributed systems, and data platforms.
Drive technical execution for product launches and long-term investments in architecture and engineering excellence.
Establish high standards for availability, scalability, performance, privacy, security, and cost management.
Hire, retain, and develop high-caliber engineers and leaders to build a diverse organization.
Communicate priorities, risks, and outcomes clearly to senior leaders and cross-functional partners.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years of software development experience with a Bachelor’s, 9+ years with a Master’s, or 6+ years with a PhD.
5+ years of experience as an engineering manager or technical leader.
Proven experience architecting, designing, and developing distributed systems and business-critical products.
Experience leading, mentoring, and scaling engineering teams to deliver complex, high-impact work.
Excellent programming and software design skills, including debugging, performance analysis, and technical decision-making.
Experience with one or more modern programming languages such as Java, C++, Go, Python, Swift, Kotlin, or JavaScript.
Advanced degree in a technical field (preferred).
