What you'll do

Lead the design and development of highly scalable, low-latency, cloud-native event processing and notification platforms.
Drive the transformation of legacy mainframe-based systems into modern, distributed, event-driven architectures.
Build a configuration-driven, self-service platform for onboarding events and defining business rules with minimal custom development.
Design scalable workflow automation for conditional routing, API integrations, event transformation, and error handling.
Leverage AI and Generative AI to accelerate event onboarding, workflow creation, and developer productivity.
Establish engineering standards for high availability, fault tolerance, observability, and performance engineering.
Lead and develop high-performing engineering teams while providing technical direction and architectural oversight.
Own platform reliability, capacity planning, and production stability for mission-critical brokerage systems.

What we're looking for

12+ years of software engineering experience with significant engineering leadership experience.
Proven experience designing, building, and scaling enterprise platforms from scratch through production adoption.
Strong hands-on architectural expertise in high TPS, low latency, distributed event processing systems.
Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native technologies.
Experience building self-service, configuration-driven, metadata-driven, or workflow orchestration platforms.
Working knowledge of AI, LLMs, and their practical application to engineering automation and platform capabilities.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive leadership skills.
Experience with email, SMS, push notifications, subscriptions, and delivery orchestration (preferred).
