The Principal Full Stack Engineer joins the Shared Services Engineering organization to support Brokerage Notification and Messaging Platforms. What you'll do

Modernize the legacy mainframe-based notification system into a scalable, cloud-native, event-driven platform.
Develop and maintain the Event Distribution Platform for real-time, compliant client communications.
Design and build RESTful APIs and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.
Implement event streaming patterns and messaging solutions using Apache Kafka.
Own critical platforms end-to-end, including architecture, design, implementation, and operational readiness.
Establish engineering excellence through automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and resiliency engineering.
Identify technical risks and lead teams through complex modernization and transformation initiatives.

What we're looking for

10 plus years of deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, event streaming patterns, and scalable messaging platforms.
Experience designing and building RESTful APIs, microservices, and enterprise-grade cloud solutions on AWS.
Proven ability to own critical platforms and services end-to-end, driving architecture, design, implementation, and operational readiness.
Experience establishing engineering excellence, including automated testing, CI/CD, observability, resiliency engineering, and software quality practices.
Deep understanding of system design, scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance in large-scale distributed environments.
Ability to identify technical risks, make engineering trade-offs, and lead teams through complex modernization initiatives.
