The Director, Software Engineering will lead new initiatives to deliver direct to consumer product offerings and associated technology enabled services. This role involves providing leadership and management for teams responsible for commercial software development and the introduction of new technologies. Key responsibilities include contributing to strategic direction through interaction with Product Management, Business Leadership, and Operations teams, while establishing repeatable processes and version control software. The successful candidate will utilize modern software engineering and product development tools including Agile, SAFE, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery. The role requires evaluating emerging software technologies and collaborating with business areas to assess unmet needs. This position specifically addresses the development of commercially available software and healthcare platforms, requiring a focus on delivering innovative market leading solutions for healthcare products.

Manage teams responsible for commercial software development and the introduction of new technologies.
Implement modern software engineering practices including Agile/SAFe, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.
Evaluate emerging software technologies and stay abreast of leading-edge industry trends.
Establish repeatable processes, best practices, and version control software in a team environment.
Mentor staff and hold direct reports accountable for meeting performance standards and departmental goals.
Work with vendors on system selection, cost negotiation, and the development of service level agreements.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
10+ years of software product development experience working on commercially available software and/or Healthcare platforms.
8+ years of management experience delivering successful innovative software products.
Experience leading development using modern software engineering and product development tools including Agile/SAFE, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.
Experience working with vendors in system selection, cost negotiation, and the development of service level agreements.
Excellent collaboration, time management, communication, decision making, and presentation skills.
Ability to establish repeatable processes, best practices, and implement version control software in a team environment.
A home internet connection with speeds of at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload is required for remote work.
