Senior Manager Software Development Engineering

What you'll do

• Lead, coach, and mentor software engineering teams to foster a high-performing and inclusive culture.
• Manage team capacity, staffing, and workforce planning to align engineering resources with business priorities.
• Oversee software development activities through all phases of the lifecycle to ensure timely, secure, and high-quality delivery.
• Monitor project execution while proactively managing risks, dependencies, and technical issues.
• Partner with Architecture teams to implement enterprise standards, coding standards, and DevSecOps principles.
• Drive continuous improvement in software quality, reliability, performance, and technical debt reduction.
• Build relationships with business partners to communicate delivery commitments, risks, and outcomes clearly.
• Manage contractor and vendor resources while identifying and addressing organizational skill gaps.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, or a related technology discipline.
• 5+ years of experience leading software initiatives or managing software engineering resources, including coaching, performance, staffing, or capacity planning.
• Experience leading delivery of enterprise software through the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience managing multiple priorities, teams, dependencies, and stakeholders in a complex organization.
• Experience with Agile software delivery and modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, DevSecOps, source control, automated testing, and production support.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, coach, develop, and retain engineering talent.
• Strong communication and relationship-management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business and executive audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Highschool diploma plus 4 years relevant work experience).
