As a Director Security Technology Engineering, you will join the security team to define and drive the enterprise security technology strategy while identifying capability gaps and evaluating emerging technologies. You will be responsible for developing roadmaps, influencing technology decisions, and designing custom solutions including automation, integrations, analytics, and AI-enabled tooling where commercial products fall short. Your daily work involves building scalable capabilities, managing security telemetry and data pipelines, and establishing controls for enterprise AI and agentic systems. The role requires expertise in software engineering, machine learning, and advanced analytics to improve threat detection and exposure management. You will collaborate with architecture, defense, and governance teams to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights while navigating the challenges of securing AI platforms, models, and supporting infrastructure within a large, complex enterprise environment.
Define and lead the enterprise security technology strategy and roadmap.
Evaluate current security capabilities to identify gaps in coverage, efficiency, and resilience.
Drive technology selection, integration, and optimization across the entire security ecosystem.
Develop custom security solutions, automation, and AI-enabled tools when commercial products are insufficient.
Execute a build-versus-buy strategy for technical implementations based on business requirements.
Lead initiatives to leverage AI for threat detection, security analytics, and exposure management.
Establish security controls and governance specifically for enterprise AI and agentic systems.
Translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in CS, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
Proven experience leading security engineering programs, security platform strategy, or enterprise security technology initiatives.
Demonstrated track record of designing and building custom security solutions that deliver measurable operational or risk-reduction outcomes.
Strong software engineering and automation experience including development of security applications, integrations, workflows, data pipelines, and analytics platforms.
Experience applying AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics to security use cases and securing AI platforms and models.
Proven ability to define security technology roadmaps and drive implementation from concept through operational adoption.
Experience working with security telemetry, data pipelines, and security data engineering.
Ability to collaborate with architects and engineering teams to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for stakeholders.
