What you'll do

  • Manage the development and maintenance of operating rules, product standards, and governance requirements for all company products and services.
  • Provide guidance to product development teams regarding necessary rules and standards throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with internal departments like Risk, Legal, and Compliance to ensure regulatory and operational requirements are integrated into product standards.
  • Identify industry and regulatory trends to update operating rules and governance processes in alignment with business strategy.
  • Establish and manage governance frameworks including approval processes, change management, and decision forums for new products.
  • Provide expert consultation to internal departments and external partners on the interpretation of operating rules and product standards.
  • Manage the publication of rule changes, technical specifications, and other documentation to ensure consistency across customer materials.
  • Analyze third-party payment network documentation to identify and implement necessary business and system updates.

What we're looking for

  • Candidates must possess eligibility to work in the United States for any employer at the date of hire.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field is typically required.
  • Typically 12+ years of progressive experience in financial services, payments, network operations, operating rules, product governance, compliance, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of payments, financial services, and product governance.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills for all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership strength and the ability to build and lead a team.
  • MBA or similar advanced degree (preferred).
  • Experience developing operating rules, governance frameworks, or product standards for payments, financial services, or technology platforms (preferred).
