What you'll do

Manage the day-to-day operations, staffing, and performance of a 6-person MSL team.
Serve as a "player-coach" by maintaining an active field presence as the primary MSL for a dedicated territory.
Develop and implement scientific interaction plans for both on-market products and pipeline products.
Coach and mentor direct reports through regular field co-rides, 1:1 meetings, and performance reviews.
Coordinate medical activities with cross-functional teams to ensure a unified approach to stakeholder needs.
Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new MSL team members.
Oversee operational logistics including budget management, expense approvals, vendor contracting, and tool management.
Ensure all team members maintain necessary certifications and stay current on scientific narratives and clinical data.

What we're looking for

Advanced degree in health sciences or clinical discipline required.
Doctorate level degree (Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD) is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years clinical, scientific, research, or pharma industry experience required.
Experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) required.
Prior line management of a field-based MSL team is strongly preferred.
Experience as a player-coach or working manager is a distinct advantage.
Experience with OR/surgical suite environments and credentialing processes is strongly preferred.
Ability to travel regularly, approximately 50–60% of the time, is required.
