What you'll do

Manage the day-to-day operations, performance, and professional development of a 6-person MSL team.
Serve as a "player-coach" by maintaining an active field presence and engaging with KOLs in a designated territory.
Develop and implement scientific interaction plans for both on-market products and pipeline projects.
Provide coaching to MSLs on scientific storytelling, engagement planning, and high-quality interactions with healthcare professionals.
Coordinate medical activities with cross-functional teams to ensure a unified approach to business objectives.
Oversee team recruitment, onboarding, training, and the maintenance of necessary clinical certifications.
Manage the department's budget, expense reports, vendor contracts, and operational logistics.
Analyze market trends and clinical data to provide field scientific support across the product lifecycle.

What we're looking for

Advanced degree in health sciences or clinical discipline required.
Doctorate level degree (Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD) is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of clinical, scientific, research, or pharma industry experience.
Experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL).
Prior line management experience of a field-based MSL team is strongly preferred.
Experience as a player-coach or working manager is a distinct advantage.
Experience with OR/surgical suite environments and credentialing processes is strongly preferred.
Ability to travel regularly, approximately 50–60% of the time.
