Director, IT Security Operations

What you'll do

• Lead all cybersecurity incident response activities and investigations to protect network resources.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the enterprise security operations team and security platforms.
• Oversee the deployment and management of endpoint protection solutions and SIEM log ingestion.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patch management, vulnerability management, and MDR service providers.
• Collect and analyze cyber threat intelligence to identify and mitigate emerging security threats.
• Develop and implement security controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with university standards.
• Supervise staff performance, including hiring, training, evaluations, and professional development.
• Direct enterprise-wide IT projects, including budget tracking, risk assessments, and vendor management.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
• Certified Ethical Hacker.
• Cloud Security certification.
• 7+ years of experience in information security, specifically within a CIRT, CERT, CSIRC, or SOC.
• 7+ years of experience in another IT function, especially IT Audit.
• 7+ years of experience with regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks such as ISO27000, COBIT, or NIST 800.
