Director, GPU Stack Unified Build & Release Platform

What you'll do

• Define the technical architecture and roadmap for a unified GPU stack build and release platform.
• Lead a tiger team of engineers to develop and integrate firmware, kernel, and ROCm components into a single deliverable.
• Spend approximately 50% of your time writing code and solving complex technical problems within the platform.
• Coordinate with executives to design a phased rollout that accelerates delivery without disrupting active product lines.
• Drive organizational change across multiple teams to align on new workflows, trunk health, and shift-left development practices.
• Integrate agentic AI tools into the engineering workflow to increase team productivity and scale operations.
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the platform from initial proof of concept through production rollout.

What we're looking for

• Demonstrated technical leadership at the director or fellow level in software engineering.
• Deep expertise in build systems, CI/CD infrastructure, and software release pipelines.
• Experience managing large-scale infrastructure modernization across multiple teams with competing priorities.
• Ability to communicate technical trade-offs as business decisions to executive stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead high-performing small teams in greenfield or proof-of-concept contexts.
• Fluency with agentic AI workflows and tools like Cursor, Claude, or Copilot.
• Experience with firmware, kernel, or embedded software release pipelines.
• Master’s degree or PhD in a related discipline preferred.
