Director, Program Management - DC GPU joins the Data Center GPU organization to lead strategic engagements with hyperscale, cloud, and AI infrastructure customers. As a high-visibility individual contributor, the Director manages complex cross-functional initiatives including platform development, cluster deployment, performance optimization, and production readiness. The role involves driving alignment across Engineering, Product Management, Business Development, and Support teams to accelerate customer ramp and remove deployment barriers. Key responsibilities include leading executive-level incident response, defining success metrics like deployment velocity and uptime, and influencing hardware, firmware, and ROCm ecosystem roadmaps. The position requires deep technical knowledge of GPU-based computing, Linux, virtualization, containerization, and server architectures to solve challenges in AI training, inference environments, and high-performance computing. Candidates must possess strong executive communication skills and experience with large-scale datacenter infrastructure.
Serve as the executive program lead for strategic hyperscale, CSP, and AI infrastructure customer engagements.
Own end-to-end customer success for complex datacenter GPU deployments from platform definition through production deployment.
Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders as the primary escalation point for business-critical initiatives.
Drive alignment across internal Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure timely execution.
Lead cross-functional planning, risk mitigation, and deployment readiness activities for large-scale customer programs.
Define and track key success metrics including deployment velocity, production readiness, utilization, and performance.
Influence hardware, firmware, and software roadmaps by serving as the voice of the customer within AMD.
Develop deployment best practices, governance frameworks, and operational playbooks to accelerate customer time-to-value.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Advanced degree (preferred).
Experience leading large-scale datacenter infrastructure programs involving hyperscalers, cloud service providers, AI infrastructure companies, and enterprise customers.
Experience leading deployment and operational programs for AI infrastructure, datacenter platforms, cloud services, or high-performance computing environments.
Deep understanding of GPU-based computing, AI training/inference, datacenter operations, server architectures, networking, storage, Linux, virtualization, and containerization (preferred).
Experience driving complex programs from proof-of-concept through production deployment and operational scale (preferred).
Strong executive presence with experience influencing customer and internal leadership teams without direct authority (preferred).
Exceptional written, verbal, and executive communication skills (preferred).
