JOB TITLE: Director - Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI)
The Director - Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) leads a team of cyber threat analysts to drive strategic and technical analysis of key cyber threats. This role involves identifying and prioritizing information security threats, advising Cyber Fusion Center partners on risks and mitigations, and collaborating with defensive control owners and incident response teams to track emerging tactics, techniques, and procedures. The Director will develop engineering solutions to improve intelligence collection, enrichment, and correlation while automating repetitive processes. Key technologies and skills include Passive DNS, VirusTotal Intelligence, URLScan, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework. The role also requires integrating internal security telemetry with external intelligence across SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and vulnerability management platforms to improve contextualization and prioritization for the enterprise.
Lead a team of cyber threat analysts to drive strategic and technical analysis of key cyber threats.
Identify and prioritize information security threats while advising partners on security and privacy risks.
Track and defend against emerging threat tactics, techniques, and procedures in collaboration with defensive control owners.
Advise the CISO and senior leadership on industry cyber threats, trends, and legislation impacting security posture.
Develop engineering solutions to improve intelligence collection, enrichment, analysis, correlation, and dissemination.
Automate repetitive intelligence processes to enable analysts to focus on higher-value analytic activities.
Integrate internal security telemetry with external threat intelligence to improve contextualization and prioritization.
Partner with security engineering teams to develop sustainable integrations between CTI platforms and SIEM, SOAR, and EDR tools.
What we're looking for
A 4-year degree and/or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have 7+ years of relevant experience.
You must have expert knowledge of the cyber threat landscape and the ability to communicate threats to senior leadership.
You must demonstrate advanced technical understanding of tactics, techniques, and procedures associated with malicious cyber activity and organized crime.
Experience is required in establishing, analyzing, and actioning threat intelligence through enrichment, correlation, and attribution.
Strong experience with offensive security tactics, techniques, and procedures such as DDoS, malware, phishing, and vulnerabilities is required.
Technical experience with threat intelligence tools like Passive DNS, VirusTotal, and URLScan is required.
Deep experience working with industry-wide frameworks and standards like MITRE ATT&CK is required.
