JOB TITLE: Director, AI - Cyber Security I As a Senior Advisor, Software Engineering on the AI Security Engineering team, you will build a brand-new AI-driven cybersecurity engineering capability from scratch. This individual-contributor role involves architecting and scaling agentic AI frameworks, platforms, and cloud-native systems to detect, investigate, and shut down threats. You will design and ship AI-powered capabilities for threat detection, anomaly identification, and incident response orchestration. Key technologies include Python, Google Cloud Platform, Vertex AI, Gemini, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and Google Kubernetes Engine. You will implement Large Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, embeddings, and vector search while integrating these into IAM, PAM, and SIEM platforms. The work focuses on solving enterprise cybersecurity problems by applying Zero Trust principles and defending against adversarial machine learning threats.

What you'll do

Design and ship AI-powered capabilities for threat detection, anomaly identification, and security operations automation.
Architect multi-agent AI frameworks using LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and vector search systems.
Build and deliver scalable, cloud-native AI security platforms on Google Cloud using Vertex AI and GKE.
Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise security platforms like IAM, PAM, SIEM, and SOAR.
Establish engineering standards for model training pipelines, automated deployment, monitoring, and MLOps practices.
Implement Zero Trust principles and defenses against prompt injection and adversarial machine learning threats.
Translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions while shaping the technical direction for enterprise adoption.

What we're looking for

You must possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
You must have 10+ years of experience in software engineering building enterprise-scale applications and platforms using Python.
You must have 10+ years of experience designing and operating cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform or a comparable major cloud provider.
You must have hands-on experience building or integrating generative AI and agentic AI systems, including LLMs, RAG pipelines, and vector databases.
You must have a strong understanding of cybersecurity domains such as threat detection, IAM, SIEM/SOAR, and security operations.
You must have experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes and Docker, along with modern CI/CD and MLOps practices.
You must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent professional/military experience.
Experience in financial services, familiarity with platforms like CrowdStrike or Splunk, and relevant certifications are preferred.
