Director, Construction API

What you'll do

• Provide senior leadership and owner’s oversight for all construction activities on a $500 million pharmaceutical capital project.
• Lead the internal construction management organization including field engineers, site supervision, and trade contractor coordination.
• Oversee EPC/CM partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within approved capital budgets.
• Manage the integrated master project schedule by identifying critical path activities and implementing recovery plans.
• Control construction costs through budget monitoring, value engineering, and managing the change management process.
• Maintain a construction risk register and implement mitigation strategies for critical risks and safety hazards.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and CQV teams to ensure facility readiness for commissioning and validation.
• Provide regular reporting to senior leadership regarding safety performance, project milestones, and financial transparency.

What we're looking for

• BS in Engineering or an equivalent technical degree is required.
• 20+ years of experience as a construction leader are required.
• Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in the United States is preferred.
• Proven leadership experience in construction management of mega-capital projects exceeding $500 million is required.
• Demonstrated experience managing Engineering, EPC/EPCM contractors, and global equipment vendors is required.
• Results-oriented leadership with outstanding negotiation skills and risk-based decision making is required.
• Ability to mentor and develop the next generation of leaders is required.
• Ability to travel within and outside the US for reviews, workshops, and vendor visits is required.
