The Director, Applied AI & Agentic Solutions leads the delivery, adoption, and evolution of artificial intelligence engineering capabilities across a portfolio of digital products within the Global Digital Network. This role involves managing and coaching AI engineering teams while partnering with product and data science teams to translate enterprise strategy into actionable roadmaps. The successful candidate will build and operate secure, scalable LLM-powered products and agent-based solutions using Python and Azure. Key responsibilities include implementing MLOps, LLMOps, and AgentOps practices, as well as managing retrieval strategies, vector databases, and knowledge graphs. Technical expertise is required in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), GraphRAG, and semantic search to solve complex problems involving digital twins, forecasting, simulation, and intelligent automation. The role ensures all AI solutions comply with enterprise governance, security, and responsible AI standards while fostering a culture of engineering excellence.
Lead the delivery and adoption of scalable, secure AI engineering capabilities across a portfolio of digital products.
Manage and develop AI engineering teams through coaching, technical direction, and performance leadership.
Translate enterprise AI strategy into actionable delivery roadmaps and implementation plans for product teams.
Provide technical leadership on complex initiatives including model architectures, agent workflows, and retrieval strategies.
Drive the adoption of enterprise AI standards, reusable patterns, and development tools across product teams.
Oversee the design, deployment, and operation of production LLM-powered products and agent-based solutions.
Implement MLOps, LLMOps, and AgentOps practices to ensure lifecycle management, monitoring, and operational governance.
Ensure all AI solutions comply with enterprise standards for security, privacy, and responsible AI requirements.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
8+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, machine learning engineering, platform engineering, or related technical disciplines.
5+ years of experience leading engineering teams, technical leads, or specialized engineering functions.
Demonstrated experience delivering production AI solutions including generative AI, LLM applications, intelligent agents, and machine learning systems.
Expertise in agentic AI architectures, RAG, GraphRAG, semantic search, vector databases, knowledge graphs, and AI orchestration frameworks.
Hands-on technical expertise in Python and cloud-native application development (Azure preferred).
Experience implementing MLOps, LLMOps, and AgentOps capabilities in production environments.
