You will utilize tools such as DOORS, Matlab/Simulink, CarSim, D-Space, and ETAS. The role requires expertise in thermal propagation detection, battery chemistry, and supervisory control systems for electric vehicles. You will solve complex technical challenges related to propulsion high voltage controls and energy management within the automotive electrification domain.

What you'll do

  • Develop diagnostic algorithms for Battery and High Voltage systems in compliance with OBDII and ZEV regulations.
  • Act as a diagnostic ambassador by communicating technical standards to vehicle teams and senior leadership.
  • Create processes and tools to improve SAFe Epic development and the Problem Resolution and Tracking System (PRTS).
  • Identify and communicate cross-ART diagnostic dependencies for advanced technical work projects.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary discussions with calibration, controls, and simulation teams to analyze test data and resolve issues.
  • Develop robust Behavioral Tech Specification requirements by identifying potential scenarios and corner cases.
  • Manage end-to-end controller diagnostics while ensuring alignment with automotive calibration processes.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, Computer Science, Information Technology, Chemistry, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 7 years of engineering experience.
  • Mastery over OBD regulation requirements, thermal propagation detection strategies, and fundamental knowledge of battery chemistry.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing Supervisory Control Systems for Electric Vehicles.
  • Proficiency with Requirements Management tools like DOORS and simulation environments such as Matlab/Simulink, CarSim, D-Space, or ETAS.
  • Expertise in the automotive calibration process and end-to-end controller diagnostics.
  • 10+ years of experience in electrification diagnostics, specifically propulsion high voltage controls and energy management (preferred).
  • Master's or PhD in Engineering with a focus on Controls/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (preferred).
