What you'll do
- Validate the performance of Battery Management System (BMS) algorithms using electrical engineering, chemical engineering, and mathematics.
- Develop simulation and physical tests to validate state of charge and state of power for battery systems.

- Analyze qualification data to identify, flag, and report anomalous outputs.
- Perform failure analysis to determine root causes for deviations and assess associated risks.

- Improve the quality, productivity, and efficiency of Apple products through collaboration with firmware and algorithm engineers.
What we're looking for
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Master's degree, PhD, or equivalent job-related experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in Battery Management System (BMS) Algorithm/Firmware/Software development, validation, or related fields.
- 10+ years of experience in BMS Algorithm/Firmware/Software development or validation (preferred).
- Experience with detailed Lithium-ion battery modeling and working on electrical circuits.
- Experience with Python or C/C++.
- Experience with time-series data analysis (preferred).
- Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills (preferred).
