The DevOps Technical Team Lead, VP will own the technical direction and delivery of the Client CI/CD platform, which enables customers to build, validate, and deploy CRIMS customizations to dedicated SaaS-hosted environments. You will lead a small development team to design, develop, and improve CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with clients and security teams. Daily responsibilities include defining scalable automation, troubleshooting production issues, and establishing DevSecOps practices like vulnerability scanning and CVE remediation. You will utilize Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Python, Java, and SQL, alongside LLM-based tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code. The role requires translating client requirements into technical designs and architecture documentation to improve platform reliability, security, observability, and the overall developer experience within a complex SaaS product environment.

What you'll do

  • Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and platform capabilities.
  • Develop infrastructure and deployment automation using Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Establish and maintain DevSecOps practices including security testing, vulnerability scanning, and CVE remediation.
  • Use LLM-based tools to automate code reviews, risk identification, and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues involving pipelines, infrastructure, and customer environments.
  • Lead technical estimation, architecture decisions, and delivery planning for the development team.
  • Translate client requirements into technical designs, estimates, and prioritized delivery plans.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational support runbooks.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading or coordinating a software engineering or DevOps team.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a DevOps engineering or platform role.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Python, Java, and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, CircleCI, or other major CI/CD systems.
  • Practical experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Docker.
  • Proficiency using GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or other agentic development tools and harnesses.
  • Experience with a major public cloud provider; Azure experience is preferred (preferred).
