As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will join the team to design, build, harden, and operate CI/CD systems, cloud infrastructure, and container platforms that support the software lifecycle from code commit through production deployment. Your daily work involves managing database migrations, backups, and replication while ensuring secure software delivery in accordance with DoD, RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and STIG requirements. You will utilize tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Bash, or Go. The role focuses on solving complex security and automation challenges within highly regulated environments requiring strict compliance and robust infrastructure management.

What you'll do

Design, build, and operate CI/CD systems using GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
Containerize and orchestrate workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
Integrate automated security checks such as SAST, SCA, and image scanning into delivery pipelines.
Design, tune, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
Perform database migration, backup, replication, and disaster recovery activities.
Implement secure software delivery in compliance with DoD, RMF, NIST, and STIG requirements.
Develop reusable infrastructure templates and implementation patterns for multiple database technologies.

What we're looking for

8+ years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or platform automation roles.
Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
Experience deploying cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP using IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
Experience containerizing and orchestrating workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience integrating automated security checks (SAST, SCA, image scanning) into CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in Linux administration and with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or 12+ years of experience in DevOps in lieu of a degree; Security+ certification required.
