Designated Support Engineer (DSE); Principal Engineer - AI Networking joins the Product Services team to serve as a trusted networking advisor and primary technical contact for assigned customers. This role involves driving resolution for complex customer networking environments by performing root cause analysis, managing escalations, and providing proactive recommendations on network health and lifecycle management. The engineer will resolve Layer 1-3 issues involving switching, routing, VLANs, BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, Ethernet, and InfiniBand technologies. Key technical competencies include experience with TCP/IP, hardware like optics and transceivers, and specialized platforms such as NVIDIA Spectrum-X, SONiC, Cumulus Linux, NVOS, and UFM. The role focuses on solving critical problems within large-scale data center and AI/HPC networking environments, ensuring high performance and reliability for business-critical workloads through advanced troubleshooting of complex network architectures and configurations.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex networking issues using logs, telemetry, and advanced diagnostic tools.

What we're looking for
8 to 12 years of experience in professional networking, technical support, network engineering, or a similar technical role.
Strong knowledge of enterprise and data center networking technologies including Ethernet switching, routing, TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, and Layer 1–3 troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of network hardware, optics, transceivers, cabling, firmware, software, and network operating systems.
Experience troubleshooting complex, large-scale, and business-critical network environments.
Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical issues for non-technical audiences.
Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferred).
NVIDIA-Certified Professional: AI Networking (NCP-AIN) or equivalent certification (preferred).
CCNP, CCIE, or other advanced networking certifications (preferred).
