JOB TITLE: Design Engineer, Core Snapchat The Design Engineer, Core Snapchat joins the Product Design team to steer the future of the core Snapchat application. What you'll do

Conceive, prototype, and iterate on new products and functional mobile experiences.
Build creative tooling and internal systems to improve workflows across the company.
Drive the design process with engineering teams to ship new products to users.
Invent new products by leveraging a technical background and passion for design.
Work with product designers and user researchers to test ideas and iterate on feedback.
Present and pitch ideas and work directly to the CEO and company leadership.
Lead cross-functional teams to polish and refine end products for shipment.

What we're looking for

BS/BA in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent years of experience.
6+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience; or Master’s degree in a technical field + 5+ years; or PhD + 2+ years.
Experience with iOS application development using Objective-C and/or Swift.
3+ years of experience driving product strategy and/or design decisions.
Knowledge and understanding of iOS software engineering principles.
Ability to rapidly prototype fully functional mobile experiences.
Proficiency with design and rapid prototyping software such as AI, Figma, Sketch, Framer, Origami, or Principle (preferred).
A portfolio showcasing work and strong mobile design skills (preferred).
