Android Engineer, Social

What you'll do

• Build smooth and stable Android products using Kotlin and the latest Android APIs.
• Own features from initial inception through design, implementation, and final launch.
• Develop social, creator-driven, and content-rich experiences for the Android platform.
• Implement features across the feed, sharing experiences, onboarding flows, and creator-facing surfaces.
• Write clean, readable, and maintainable code using Jetpack Compose and MVVM.
• Partner with backend, web, product, design, and data teams to ship end-to-end features.
• Improve the existing app and codebase to ensure high quality for all users.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience building consumer applications at scale.
• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java and Jetpack.
• Experience with Kotlin and Compose (preferred).
• Experience with MVVM, Coroutines & Flow (preferred) OR RxJava, and Retrofit & Room.
• Ability to work in the New York office at least 3 days per week.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
• Strong product sense and ability to collaborate with Product Managers and Designers.
• Excellent communication skills and passion for solving technical challenges.
