Design Engineer

What you'll do

• Define and deliver machine performance requirements for new product introductions and life-cycle support.
• Cascade performance requirements to engine, powertrain, hydraulics, and software teams.
• Develop control strategies and algorithms to optimize machine productivity and efficiency.
• Use virtual product development tools to evaluate future concepts like electric drivetrains and autonomy.
• Create validation plans for machine performance using FMEAs and planning workshops.
• Provide technical specifications and productivity data to support commercial teams and sales tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical inquiries from customers and the dealer support network.
• Operate machines to evaluate performance and user interface features.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, agriculture, or electrical engineering.
• Progressive experience in an engineering position.
• Ability to identify critical gaps and resolve technical issues with minimal oversight.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to team members, customers, and suppliers.
• Knowledge of self-management practices to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
• Knowledge of systems, tools, and methods required to develop solutions for machine and system performance.
• Simulation or hands-on testing experience, including data collection with CANape or other calibration tools (preferred).
• Control system development or familiarity with Simulink or other model-based development tools (preferred).
