What you'll do

Provide day-to-day oversight for the team by delegating tasks, resolving roadblocks, and ensuring timely delivery of database services.
Develop and execute the technical strategy and vision for the service catalog in partnership with federal leadership.
Coordinate with Project Managers to manage timelines, resource requirements, risk management, and status reporting.
Oversee personnel management including recruitment, hiring, performance management, training, and mentoring for all team members.
Manage incidents by coordinating with resolution parties and establishing stakeholder communication and after-action reporting.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement to deliver new services and modernize technology delivery practices.
Provide technical guidance for designing, operating, troubleshooting, and migrating complex enterprise database environments.

What we're looking for

Must possess a NACI (T1) Public Trust clearance.
Must have a BS/BA degree and 8+ years of experience in an IT-related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Must have experience leading a technical team's day-to-day execution, including operations, maintenance, cloud migrations, and service delivery.
Must have people management experience including recruiting, hiring, performance management, training, and mentoring engineers.
Must have broad hands-on experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and middleware technologies like WebLogic for on-prem and cloud environments.
Must have experience applying Agile and project management practices to manage priorities, backlogs, and Scrum delivery processes.
Must have working knowledge of ITIL principles including incident, problem, service request, change, and service level management.
Relevant industry certifications in RHEL, Solaris, Unix, cloud, ITIL, Agile, or project management (preferred).
