Storage Team Lead

What you'll do

• Provide day-to-day oversight for the team by delegating tasks and resolving roadblocks for compute, storage, and backup services.
• Develop and execute the technical strategy and vision for the service catalog in partnership with federal leadership.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to manage timelines, resource requirements, risk management, and status reporting.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement to deliver new services and modernize existing technology delivery practices.
• Manage personnel responsibilities including recruitment, hiring, performance management, training, and mentoring for all team members.
• Oversee incident management by coordinating resolution parties and establishing stakeholder communication and after-action reporting.
• Analyze complex technical issues to provide guidance and lead the team through successful problem resolution.

What we're looking for

• Must possess a BS/BA degree and 6+ years of experience in an IT-related discipline, or have equivalent experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI (T1) Public Trust clearance.
• Must have experience overseeing a portfolio of technology services and leading a technical team's day-to-day execution.
• Must have people management experience including recruiting, hiring, performance management, training, and mentoring engineers.
• Must have experience leading technical projects and initiatives from planning through successful delivery.
• Must have hands-on experience with compute, server operating systems, virtualization, enterprise storage, and backup services.
• Must have experience applying Agile and project management practices to manage priorities and backlogs.
• Must have working knowledge of ITIL principles and practices.
• Relevant industry certifications in VMware, enterprise storage, cloud, ITIL, Agile, or project management (preferred).
• Experience supporting technology services within a federal government, healthcare, or similarly regulated environment (preferred).
