The Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking a Database Analyst to join the team at Ellsworth AFB. This role involves performing data entry, database management operations, and regular data validation to support specific programs and products. The analyst will control data definitions within established standards, maintain database specifications by responding to change requests, and monitor database operations while verifying security and integrity controls. Key responsibilities include updating records, tables, and generating visual reports. Candidates must possess experience developing and scripting using SQL or other query languages, and proficiency in tools like Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint. Technical requirements include knowledge of STIG and database security controls, backups of large databases, and transaction logs within an Air Force flightline or communications systems environment.
Perform data entry and database management operations to support specific programs or products.
Control data definitions within established standards for existing applications.
Perform regular data validation and monitor database operations.
Maintain database specifications by initiating or responding to change requests.
Update and maintain database records and tables as required.
Verify database security and integrity controls.
Generate visual reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
Manage backups of large databases and transaction logs.
What we're looking for
Must have a High School diploma/GED and 6 years of experience, an Associate’s Degree and 4 years of experience, a Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of experience, or a Master’s Degree.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Current CompTIA Security Plus (or higher) certification.
Experience developing and scripting using SQL or other query languages.
Experience generating visual reports in tools like Tableau or Power BI.
Experience with backups of large databases and transaction logs.
Experience with STIG and database security controls.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended shifts, holidays, weekends, and 24/7 on-call status.
Experience designing and maintaining databases (preferred).
Experience with remote cloud architecture (preferred).
Experience working in an Air Force flightline environment (preferred).
Experience working with Air Force flight communications systems (preferred).
Active US Government SECRET or TOP SECRET clearance (preferred).
Active Specific Special Access Program access (preferred).
