The Data Workflow Analysis & Optimization, VP II leads the design, documentation, and optimization of data governance and operations workflows across business, product, and technology domains. This role focuses on improving data lineage, managing metadata, resolving fragmentation, and embedding scalable controls into modern platforms to enhance transparency and audit readiness. The individual will develop functional specifications for data quality capabilities, including rule design and monitoring, while identifying opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence and automation to streamline manual processes. Key responsibilities include standardizing workflows across global teams and ensuring alignment with privacy and compliance requirements. Required expertise includes experience with Databricks Unity Catalog, Collibra, Informatica, Snowflake, and Alteryx. The role addresses the challenge of creating a unified, platform-enabled data operating model within the complex regulatory environment of investment management and financial services.
Analyze current data workflows to identify inefficiencies, manual handoffs, fragmentation, and control gaps across business and technology domains.
Design and document future-state workflows that improve consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency for data governance and operations.
Establish standards for metadata management, including business glossaries, ownership, stewardship, and asset inventory processes.
Develop technical specifications for data quality capabilities such as rule design, monitoring, remediation workflows, and reporting.
Identify and resolve data fragmentation by rationalizing redundant data movement and promoting the use of reusable data products.
Embed data privacy, access controls, and compliance requirements into automated platform capabilities and standard operating procedures.
Integrate artificial intelligence and automation tools to reduce manual work and accelerate governance execution across modern data platforms.
Translate complex technical requirements into clear business specifications and actionable implementation plans for senior stakeholders.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Finance, Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (preferred).
10+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Business Analysis, Process Optimization, Data Operations, or related disciplines.
Strong background in asset management, investment management, banking, capital markets, or broader financial services.
Demonstrated experience designing and managing data lineage, metadata, data quality, and governance workflows.
Experience with analytics, AI enablement, and process automation (preferred).
Hands-on or implementation experience with tools such as Databricks Unity Catalog, Collibra, Informatica, and related platforms.
Proven ability to define business requirements, functional specifications, operating procedures, controls, and executive-ready documentation.
