Data Governance Lineage Firmwide CDO Vice President

What you'll do

• Drive the adoption and rollout of the firmwide Data Lineage framework across business lines and corporate functions.
• Document data lineage for critical data flows to ensure consistency and accountability.
• Develop and promote best practices for metadata management, data lineage, and data quality controls.
• Provide advisory services on complex lineage initiatives through technical and business architecture analysis.
• Identify tactical and strategic resolution paths with stakeholders regarding ownership and project timelines.
• Facilitate working groups and workshops to address challenges and manage risks in firmwide strategies.
• Monitor, measure, and report on data lineage governance metrics and compliance.

What we're looking for

• 10 years of industry experience with a strong data, analytics, or product background.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data lineage, data publishing, and metadata management concepts and methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Data Lineage including Critical Data Element identification, metadata capture, and tracing CDEs across the data lifecycle.
• Experience with industry standard tools like Collibra, Alteryx, or Databricks.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to resolve conflict and build consensus.
• Experience with data management, big data platforms, or data architecture (preferred).
• Experience in data quality within a large financial institution (preferred).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field (preferred).
