The Data Centre Selection Manager joins the global Infrastructure strategy team to manage and grow the company's data center and points of presence footprint. This role focuses on improving quality and unit costs while expanding colocation sites across a global network. You will define regional vendor strategies, own end-to-end deals including RFPs and commercial negotiations, and manage complex relationships with international partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating cross-functionally with legal, operations, and network teams to meet infrastructure requirements, conducting quarterly business reviews, and managing budget tracking for infrastructure costs. The ideal candidate possesses over ten years of experience in data center planning within enterprise technology or cloud services. Key skills include commercial negotiation, project management across multiple geographies, and proficiency in site power and white space planning. Knowledge of Jira and network concepts is also beneficial.
Define regional vendor strategies to improve the quality and unit cost of data center sites.
Manage end-to-end deals including planning, RFPs, commercial negotiations, and execution for new and existing vendors.
Coordinate cross-functionally with legal, operations, capacity planning, network strategy, and security teams to meet project timelines.
Conduct scheduled quarterly business reviews and manage relationships with top category partners.
Represent the company to external partner C-level management at conferences and public events.
Provide information for annual data center budgets to track and benchmark infrastructure costs.
Review colocation spend and invoices for management approval.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
10+ years of experience planning and managing data center footprints in a fast-moving enterprise technology organization, cloud services, software, or colocation company.
Demonstrated experience in commercial negotiation and relationship management.
Ability to manage complex projects across multiple teams and geographies while meeting deadlines.
Ability to solve problems and work with minimal supervision.
Experience with rack, site power, and white space planning (preferred).
Experience with network concepts (preferred).
Export control laws, including the U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
