JOB TITLE: Data Center Manager
The Data Center Manager leads U.S. Data Center Management operations to support mission-critical infrastructure across the enterprise data center environment. This role oversees operational reliability, infrastructure lifecycle support, staffing coordination, change governance, audit readiness, and vendor oversight. The manager will lead day-to-day execution of physical adds, moves, changes, rack deployments, cabling, and power coordination. Key responsibilities include managing complex migrations involving enterprise compute, storage, network, private cloud, hyperconverged infrastructure, and mainframe-class environments. The candidate must utilize DCIM, asset management, and inventory-control platforms while maintaining structured cabling standards for single-mode fiber and copper. This role solves the challenge of maintaining stable, high-availability operations in a regulated environment, requiring the ability to adapt operating practices as the firm’s data center footprint and hosting models evolve.
Lead day-to-day operational readiness and physical infrastructure support across assigned enterprise data center locations.
Oversee hardware lifecycle activities including rack deployments, cabling, power coordination, and equipment decommissioning.
Manage and develop a team of technical staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure stable operations.
Govern the change management process by reviewing and approving methods of procedure for sensitive physical activities.
Maintain an audit-ready environment by overseeing asset management, inventory integrity, and formal documentation.
Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to manage budgets, purchase orders, and vendor service delivery.
Provide strategic leadership for infrastructure modernization, migration readiness, and the evolution of operating models.
Prepare operational metrics, risk communications, and executive summaries for leadership and partner organizations.
What we're looking for
Must have 10 or more years of progressive experience in enterprise data center engineering, infrastructure deployment, site operations, or mission-critical technology operations.
Must have demonstrated experience leading infrastructure operations in a regulated, high-control, or mission-critical environment.
Must have proven ability to lead complex physical infrastructure work including lifecycle activity, hardware deployments, migrations, cabling, and power coordination.
Must have experience managing work across internal technical teams, contractors, vendors, suppliers, facilities teams, and partner technology organizations.
Must have a strong understanding of enterprise data center infrastructure including compute, storage, network, private cloud, and mainframe-class environments.
Must have working knowledge of data center power, cooling, UPS, generator-backed infrastructure, and structured cabling standards.
Must have experience with IT service management, change management, DCIM, asset management, and inventory-control platforms.
