The Critical Infrastructure Engineer joins the Network Operations team to support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of critical infrastructure systems within company facilities. This role involves maintaining and monitoring essential systems including electrical power distribution, UPS equipment, generators, HVAC, fire life safety, and related facility infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing site audits for capacity management, executing network infrastructure projects with vendors, managing equipment inventory, and updating floor plans. The candidate will also monitor device performance indicators, conduct routine health checks, and maintain technical documentation such as asset databases and capacity reports. Required expertise includes experience in data center environments, building systems, or industrial maintenance. Key competencies include using diagnostic tools, following preventive maintenance schedules, and coordinating with contractors to ensure the operational readiness of business-critical environments through diligent monitoring and proactive problem-solving.
Perform site audits and equipment modeling to manage critical infrastructure capacity.
Manage ticket systems and infrastructure planning according to established protocols.
Coordinate floor plan updates and maintain accurate equipment inventory records.
Monitor device performance indicators and onboard new devices into the facility.
Gather data and recommend solutions for infrastructure problems using standard methodologies.
Execute infrastructure projects by coordinating with vendors and tracking project milestones.
Maintain critical documentation including asset databases, capacity reports, and floor plans.
Conduct routine health checks and coordinate maintenance for power, HVAC, and fire safety systems.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience supporting critical infrastructure, facility operations, data center environments, building systems, or industrial maintenance.
Working knowledge of critical infrastructure disciplines including electrical systems, power distribution, UPS, generators, HVAC, fire life safety, plumbing, or mechanical equipment.
Experience using common diagnostic and maintenance tools.
Ability to read and follow maintenance schedules, operating procedures, preventive maintenance documentation, and site standards.
Experience documenting operational activities and maintaining technical records, reports, and infrastructure documentation.
Ability to safely perform work in operational facilities and coordinate activities with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
Demonstrated reliability and ability to work nights and weekends on a variable schedule as necessary.
