The Data and AI Governance Product Lead- Vice President joins the Chief Data Office, Product Management team to build and scale data and AI governance products. This role involves owning the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery through delivery and adoption, focusing on automation, standardization, and measurable risk reduction. You will translate business needs into scalable capabilities, manage a prioritized backlog, and collaborate with engineering, data science, legal, and risk partners to modernize governance processes. Key responsibilities include designing products with governance-by-design controls, auditability, and compliance protocols. Required skills include experience in product management, data strategy, or consulting within regulated industries, along with proficiency in agile delivery practices, analytics, and data-driven decisioning. You will solve complex problems regarding regulatory expectations and technical feasibility for global financial institution data outcomes.
Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of data and AI governance products from discovery to adoption.
Translate business needs into scalable product capabilities that reduce risk and increase business value.
Own and refine a prioritized product backlog aligned to a strategic roadmap focused on automation and standardization.
Drive execution of concurrent initiatives by setting milestones, managing dependencies, and reporting on delivery health.
Embed governance-by-design controls, auditability, and compliance protocols throughout the product development lifecycle.
Communicate complex technical and risk topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
Partner with cross-functional teams to modernize governance processes and operating models.
What we're looking for
Seven or more years of relevant experience in product management, data strategy, program management, consulting, or internal strategy within financial services or a similarly regulated industry.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as data, computer science, business analytics, or engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
Advanced understanding of the product development lifecycle, including product design, agile delivery practices, analytics, and operating model considerations.
Proven experience leading end-to-end product lifecycle activities including discovery, roadmap development, requirements definition, prioritization, and value measurement.
Working knowledge of data and AI governance concepts and the ability to translate technical topics into practical product solutions.
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills with comfort using quantitative methods and data-driven decisioning.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
Advanced degree in a quantitative or technical discipline (preferred).
