As a Cryogenic Assembly Engineer, you will join the quantum development program to support the assembly, installation, operation, and maintenance of complex cryogenic equipment used to cool quantum devices. Working independently or alongside other engineers and scientists, you will perform mechanical assembly by interpreting drawings, bills of materials, and technical procedures. Your daily work involves utilizing hand tools and maintaining high vacuum systems. The role requires expertise in assembling electronic and microwave systems, as well as installing wiring and components within cryogenic environments. Preferred skills include operating dilution refrigerators, understanding process flow and instrumentation drawings, and using computer-aided design for mechanical components. This position provides critical technical support to solve the hardware challenges inherent in developing practical quantum computing technologies by ensuring the reliable operation of specialized cooling infrastructure.
