CPU Technology Feasibility Implementation Engineer

The CPU Technology Feasibility Implementation Engineer joins the Silicon Engineering Group to conduct technology evaluation during the early design phase of high-performance CPU designs. This role focuses on evaluating new process technologies and analyzing PPA trends to maximize performance, power, and area benefits. The engineer will drive RTL-to-GDS flows through synthesis, place-and-route, and clock flow while performing various physical design experiments. Key responsibilities include identifying improvements in library design, memory design, and PD tools or methodologies while collaborating with multi-functional teams to resolve technical issues. Required expertise includes experience with PPA optimizations, static timing, and critical path closure techniques. The role addresses the specific challenge of evaluating new process technologies to achieve high targets for performance and power within complex CPU microarchitectures and common critical loops for timing.
