CPU Implementation Engineer

As a CPU Implementation Engineer within the Silicon Engineering Group, you will focus on block-level implementation of processor designs. You will collaborate with micro-architects to define micro-architecture and perform critical power, performance, and area trade-offs. Your daily responsibilities include driving RTL-to-GDS design convergence through logic optimizations using synthesis and place-and-route tools while ensuring the closure of backend flows, electrical requirements, and silicon yield improvements. You will partner with internal CAD and PD methodology teams to optimize industry standard tool features and work with custom IP teams to co-optimize memory macros and library standard cells. The role requires expertise in logic design, digital circuits, CPU pipelines, and physical design concepts related to timing and power. Candidates should possess skills in scripting or programming to address complex hardware engineering challenges.
