CPU Implementation Engineer

The CPU Implementation Engineer joins the Silicon Engineering Group to focus on CPU block-level implementation. In this role, you will collaborate extensively with micro-architects to define memory subsystems and perform critical trade-offs regarding area, frequency, performance, and power while balancing pipeline stages. You will drive the RTL-to-GDS flow through synthesis and place-and-route processes to meet ambitious targets for power, performance, and area. Additionally, you will work with multi-functional engineering teams to implement and validate physical design aspects including timing, reliability, testability, and power. The role requires proficiency in Perl or TCL scripting and knowledge of logic design principles, high-performance microprocessor architecture, and low-power microarchitecture techniques. You must also possess experience in deep sub-micron technologies, device physics, and utilizing synthesis and place-route tools to solve complex hardware implementation challenges.
